7/25/19 Project Update

7/25/2019

Secon and the DOT&PF have temporarily reactivated the traffic signal at the Whittier Street and Egan Drive intersection while work continues on the mountainside of Egan between Whittier and Willoughby, and on the waterside of Egan between Whittier and 8th Street. The signal will be active through Sunday, July 28th. All other current traffic restrictions and revisions will remain in place.
  • Pedestrian access on the waterside of Egan Drive is closed.
  • Pedestrian detours are in place on the mountainside between the Ramada Inn and Willoughby via W. Willoughby. Alternative pedestrian routes around the work zone on the paved walking paths between the State Library Archive Museum and the KTOO Building are also open for use. For your safety, please follow posted detour routes and do not enter work zones.
  • Right turns on-to outbound Egan from Willoughby will continue to be closed intermittently. Whittier Street intersection access is open, except for left turns out of Whittier North onto inbound Egan, which are closed.
  • Traffic controls will be in place on Egan between Main Street and Glacier Avenue reducing traffic lanes to one lane in each direction.
  • All businesses will have access to their establishments and are open regular hours during construction.
