How long will construction last?
This is a multi-year project. Construction season will last from approximately March through October, weather permitting.

Will commuters be able to turn left on Main Street?
Left turns on to Main Street will be permitted for much of the 2019 construction season. Access will be restricted when work commences in front of the Wharf.

Will drivers from downtown be able to turn left onto the Douglas Bridge?
Yes, bridge access is not affected.

How will the seaward lots be accessed?
The lots can be accessed inbound by a right turn  only.

How will travelers exiting 8th and 9th Streets go outbound onto Egan Drive?
Travelers will be able to turn right on Egan Drive and  continue down to the traffic circle to loop back to outbound Egan Drive. Traffic will continue to flow as left turns are restricted and the Whittier traffic signal will not be operational.

Would working nights relieve traffic congestion?
Traffic will be constricted on Egan Drive whether or not construction activities are occurring, as Secon will be performing work on lanes not used by traffic that will make the lanes impassable most times.

How will pedestrians access the seawalk and Overstreet Park?
Pedestrian access will be maintained on one side of Egan Drive or the other; protected crossing will be available at 10th Street and Main Street.

Will the DOA maintained parking lot near the USGC station still be accessible?
Yes, access will be maintained to this parking lot. When traffic control devices are in place, this lot will only be accessed by right turns. Protected pedestrian crossings will be available at Main Street and at 10th Street.
